In 2018 there were 10,782 women and 2,572 children who received help from a domestic violence support service.
Services providing refuge were unable to provide accommodation for 3,256 requests because they were full (Safe Ireland, 2018).
That’s an average of 9 women and women with children per day who had to be refused refuge, being potentially faced with more abuse.
This can’t continue. Will you help us to provide refuge for women and women with children and help to restore broken hearts in a safe, peaceful and loving environment?
