A photographic exhibition of captivating photographs by David Derby and friends.

David Derby is an avid and award-winning photographer whose images were on sale at PFAC (Peninsula Fine Arts Centre) in Newport News Virginia. David’s interest in the art of photography started at sixteen years of age after converting a defunct coal shed at the back of his parent’s home into a darkroom. His fascination with the chemical processes and the magic of watching an image appear in the developing tray imprinted a longing to produce his own captivating images. Having emigrated to America and finding employment he bought his first camera and subsidised his income with wedding photography. As an artist, David has a love of capturing “The Moment” with people, candid shots, street photography and the wonder and beauty of landscape and sea-scapes. The images that you purchase today are not one in a limited collection but more exclusive in that they are individually processed by David and may vary slightly from one to another.
